6 things you need to know about the Costa Diadema
Sailing for Costa cruises, the Costa Diadema is one of the largest ships in the fleet and one of the largest under the Italian flag. Commissioned in 2014, it is part of the Dream class.
1-The ship
The Costa Diadema is particularly imposing, with 14 passenger decks stretching 306 meters long and 37 meters wide. On board, 1253 crew members provide service, and the ship can carry 4947 passengers during the cruise. Passengers stay in 1862 cabins, 756 of which have balconies. A special feature of this ship is that it is decorated with over 7,000 works of art.
2-Activities and adult entertainment
For relaxation, Costa cruises has provided 3 swimming pools, including one with a retractable roof, the Diana Lido, as well as 8 Jacuzzis. Wellness is also on the agenda at the Samsara Spa. This 6,500-m² space offers treatments, massages, Jacuzzis, saunas, steam rooms and balneotherapy. And don't forget the hairdresser, manicurist and pedicurist.
Take advantage of this Costa cruise to enjoy a sporting activity. There's a running track on deck 14, a multi-sports court (basketball, soccer, tennis) and a gym.
A trip aboard the Costa Diadema is also an opportunity to store duty-free in the shopping arcade on Deck 4, and indulge in laser games at Laser Shooting and Star Laser on Deck 11.
In the evening, there's plenty of entertainment to choose from. Vary the pleasures with the casino on Deck 5, the 4D cinema, rock concerts at the Country Rock Club, or shows at the chic Emerald Theater, which spans 3 decks.

Children and teenagers can let off steam with games at Star Laser, in the pools or in the kids' club. The Squok Club offers games, dances, themed evenings and parties for the under-11s. And the Peppa Pig area also offers games for the under-6s.

4-Gastronomy, bars and lounges
Vary your meals and ambiances with 8 restaurants & snack bars, as well as 11 bars & lounges.
The Teppanyaki Japanese restaurant on Deck 5 is a particular favorite, while Piazza Pizza, also on Deck 5, is the Costa Diadema's pizzeria. And Corona Blu is a casual buffet restaurant.
Gourmets will appreciate the Amarillo ice cream bar, serving a wide range of Italian-style ice creams. As for the Cigar Lounge, it's the cozy meeting point for smokers on Deck 5. Finally, for an excellent aperitif, the Bar Bollicine is particularly recommended.
5-Accommodation on board the Costa Diadema
Choose your room from inside, outside or balcony cabins for sea views. Cabins are modern, tastefully decorated and functional. They are equipped with one double bed or two twin beds.
Suites are larger and more comfortable. You'll also benefit from a dedicated butler and in-cabin breakfast if you wish.

Costa cruises does its utmost to reduce food waste and surplus food. Surpluses are donated to charities in ports of call, in partnership with the Banco Alimentare foundation.
Elegant, inspiring architecture
Costa cruises biggest ship, the Costa Diadema is also the largest cruise ship under the Italian flag. Launched in November 2014, she's part of the fleet's Dream class, offering luxury and refinement to her 4,947 passengers. Bright and gleaming, she boasts panoramic elevators for admiring the interior architecture, as well as flamboyant lighting in bluish hues. At 306 metres long and 37 metres wide, it houses a host of elegantly decorated leisure and relaxation facilities.
Here, rounded shapes are favored for softness, as are warm materials such as wood. Fourteen decks full of surprises are open to passengers: Excelsior, Sara, Centenary, Perla di Venere, Eldorado, Braganza, Conde, Star of India, Bizantina, Hortensia, Timur, Stella d'Africa, Millennium, Star and La Fenice. In the public areas, you can admire 190 original works of art, as well as 7817 copies of the finest works of the Italian Renaissance and contemporary pop culture.
A change of scenery and well-being
Seven restaurants welcome you on the decks of the Costa Diadema. Each boasts its own culinary specialties, transporting you into exotic and exotic surroundings, like the Teppanyaki (deck 5) with its menu of kebabs and other Japanese dishes, or the Corona Blu, an all-you-can-eat buffet on deck 10. If you're a fan of Italian cuisine and Mediterranean dishes, head to Deck 3 to enjoy the classic decor of the Fiorentino or Adularia. Eleven bars round out the ship's food and beverage offering, including the Gran Duca di Toscana wine cellar (Deck 5), offering fine wines by the glass; the Dresden Green (Deck 4), a veritable paradise for beer in all its forms; and the Grand Bar Orlov (Deck 4), with its rounded bar and red leather stools.
There's no shortage of entertainment venues on the Costa Diadema, starting with the Pietra di Luna discotheque (deck 11) and its multicolored ceiling, or the Golden Jubilee casino, located on the same level. If you're feeling sporty, there's a 200-metre jogging course on deck 15, as well as swimming pools, including one with a glass roof. You'll also discover the world's largest shipboard fitness center, with 6,500 m2 of sports equipment, treatment rooms, hammam, whirlpool baths and thalassotherapy services. With over 1600 seats, the theater welcomes passengers each evening for a variety of shows, while the Portobello market on Deck 4 offers the chance to buy souvenirs and other items you need throughout the day.
